Working on the Trunk...
Just a quick note that I've put together a small guide on working with the Castle / Nhibernate / RhinoTools trunk
here
on my
wiki
, which goes well as a companion to this article on
working with the Castle trunk
which can be found on
using.castleproject.org
.
Hopefully it proves useful to someone other that myself.

The wiki was pretty helpful. I'm glad you pointed out that the build errors on the second build of Castle are normal.
The problem that I'm having now is that Rhino-Tools won't build. Experienced this problem?

Hi Rob,
What's the error you're getting with building RhinoTools... is it during compilation or with running the Test suite?

Model\RetlProject.cs(35,27): error CS1502: The best overloaded method match for Rhino.ETL.EtlContextBuilder.From(string, string, params Boo.Lang.Compiler.ICompilerInput[]) has some invalid arguments
Model\RetlProject.cs(35,56): error CS1503: Argument 2: cannot convert from Boo.Lang.Compiler.ICompilerInput[] to string
50 Warning(s)
2 Error(s)
The warnings are mostly about non CLS-Compliance. The errors seem pretty self explanatory, I just haven't had a chance to look into them yet. Was really wondering if you were having the same problems... if you did and fixed it, great! What did you do?

Another question is why would we get different results if we were both building from the same revision on the trunk? (or are we building from the same revision?). And is there a record (anywhere) of which revisions of which projects play nice with eachother?

I had a look at your right, the current revision of Rhino-ETL doesn't build... you can safely ignore that project's build failure as it's not required by the rest of the directions.
Have a look at this new section I added:

Nice One!
btw... don't know what's going on but it appears your captcha is a bit borked... wouldn't validate a few times in a row, and then was a broken link for the past few minutes.

Yeah, the blog needs a face-lift ... I've noticed the captcha thing myself - though I can't quite seem to figure out what's causing it...
Hopefully it'll be resolved when I migrate to subtext, when I find the time.
Cheers,
- Alex
